1 bundle Fresh asparagus 1 package (3–4 ounces) Prosciutto 2 tsp Garlic powder 2 tsp Onion powder 1 tsp Freshly ground pepper 3 tbsp Butter
Preheat grill to medium heat.
Wash asparagus and trim spears to equal lengths.
Wrap four asparagus spears with one slice of prosciutto. Repeat until all asparagus and prosciutto are used, forming about six bundles.
Place bundles in a cast iron skillet or disposable aluminum pan.
Sprinkle bundles evenly with garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.
Dot with butter.
Place skillet or pan on grill and cook for 15 minutes, turning bundles halfway through for even grilling.
Remove from grill and serve hot.
For added flavor, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese during the last few minutes of grilling.
This recipe works well as an appetizer or side dish for grilled meats.
If you prefer crisp-tender asparagus, reduce grilling time by a few minutes.
