1 cup All-purpose flour (use King Arthur Measure for Measure Gluten-Free if needed) 2 tsp Baking powder 1/2 tsp Sugar 1/2 tsp Dried Italian seasoning (we used oregano) 1/2 tsp Dried minced onion 1/4 tsp Salt 1/8 tsp Garlic powder 3/4 cup Cottage Cheese 1/2 cup Shredded sharp cheddar cheese 3 tbsp Butter, melted 1/3 cup Milk
Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) . Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick foil.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, Italian seasoning, minced onion, salt, and garlic powder.
Add cottage cheese, shredded cheddar, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until crumbly.
Pour in milk and stir until a soft dough forms.
Drop large spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 12–15 minutes , or until biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling at the edges.
Serve warm with butter or a drizzle of honey for a sweet-salty twist.
Use King Arthur Measure for Measure flour for a gluten-free version.
Try swapping in rosemary, thyme, or basil for a different flavor profile.
For extra richness, brush warm biscuits with melted garlic herb butter before serving.
