Hello friends! I’m adding to our pantry staples today to keep our pantry stocked and ready for those busy school nights. I’m combining delicious blend of spices to create a homemade taco seasoning.

We mostly use this blend on taco meat (obviously 😉). We also use it in our Homestead Chili that my family enjoys but the seasoning is also delicious in taco soup.

You can find a downloadable recipe at the end of this post.

Taco Seasoning Ingredients

½ cup chili powder

¼ cup onion powder

1/8 cup ground cumin

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon paprika

1 tablespoon sea salt (table salt also works!)

Directions

To make the taco seasoning combine all the spices together in a small mixing bowl.

Once throughly combined, store seasoning in an air tight container. We use a pint size canning jar and use a sharpie to label the lid with the name and cooking instructions so everyone in the house knows how to use it whether I’m home or not.

When making taco meat use 2 tablespoons of seasoning and ¼ cup water for every 1 pound of ground beef.

Hope you found this seasoning recipe helpful!
