Hello Friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day! My day has been busy today so I needed an easy and quick dinner for my family. So, I made an egg bake recipe to fill the hungry tummies around here.
I have been making this recipe for nearly a decade and it’s still a go to on a busy night.
You can find a printable recipe at the bottom of this post.

Directions
First, dice some peppers. I had some frozen banana peppers slices saved from earlier in the harvest season. I diced those slices 😊 This egg bake can be easily adjusted to whatever peppers are available or completely omit the peppers.
Next, I browned a pound of ground sausage along with the diced banana peppers.
Next, I combined the browned ground sausage with a dozen eggs, 1 cup of milk, and 1 cup of shredded cheese.
Again, any shredded cheese can be used. I had a shredded Mexican variety leftover from a taco dinner the night before so that is what I used.
Use what you have! Like my grandpa practiced each day, and I inspire to do -waste not, want not.

You can also add a dash of salt and pepper to taste.
Whisk all the ingredients together until combined. Once combined pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 pan.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes of until golden brown along the edges and the middle is firm to the touch.

The egg bake is delicious with a side of steamed broccoli for dinner.
But if you are serving it for a breakfast or brunch a slice of pound cake topped with fresh berries is also delightful.
Hope you enjoy our egg bake recipe!
